Non-moving subjects outdoors on a sunny day? YES. Grandkids running and dancing indoors? NO.

Slightly below my phone camera. Photos at full rez in daylight are not sharp. Contrast is lower than what you are seeing in the screen. Actually the screen makes for a better image than the final saved shot. The main problem is the tiny sensor, a Super HAD CCD sensor which is about 1/10th the size of what an entry DSLR has. Lens must be plastic for the contrast to go south. I took shots outdoors hand-held using this SONY and a 3-year old entry level DSLR. Both are small portions of a full-size print, unretouched, and 350 DPI. Both look similar when viewed side-by-side on your computer. But when both are enlarged at the same ratio the older DSLR takes the prize for detail. Bottom line: this is a $75 or less camera. It is very small - like about six credit cards taped together. Lighter than a feather. If all you are wanting are average shots this will do that. Car dealers - this may be what you need for your webpage. However if you are taking photos of fast-moving grandkids indoors this just can't freeze the action. You will only have photos of blurry kids. I took it also to the Ringling Bros circus and tried making usuable photos. Just couldn't do it, plus it slowed the shutter down to one shot about every 7 - 10 seconds. For cars on a lot or for real estate photos this may be what you can use. For action or night photos - no way. - Customer Reviews: Sony Cyber-Shot DSCW810 20.1MP Digital Camera
